During the months of September and October, an exhibition of photographs and uniforms from the Second World War will be on display at the Mierlo library. Central to this exhibition is the liberation of Geldrop-Mierlo, now 80 years ago. With photos, texts and objects from the war, the story is made alive and tangible. We take you from 1940 to 1944. The German invasion, the occupation and then the liberation by the Americans and British soldiers. Uniforms on lifelike mannequins show what the uniforms and equipment of the time looked like.
