Molenheide Route
The Molenheide is - contrary to what the name suggests - a large forest area between Geldrop and Mierlo. The walking area has many paths, which lead to beautiful pools, among other things.
Some parts are protected areas and not open for walking, but do offer a beautiful view to dream away from a bench. De Molenheide has a wheelchair path, an experience path (Het Katoenpad), a playground (De Molenheide) and various sports and mountain bike routes. The dog is also welcome in most places. De Molenheide is opposite Camping Het Wolfsven. The walking area is popular with the locals and therefore has plenty of opportunities to entertain yourself and the children for several hours.

You can start in Geldrop at the Sluisstraat or in Mierlo, for example at the Television Tower. For the trained walkers it is nice to walk from the centre of Mierlo, through the Molenheide, to the centre of Geldrop, and back again. Or the other way around of course. In both towns, there are several cafes and restaurants where you can eat and drink and thus plan a pleasant stop.
