The Mierlose Zwarte
Ever since the year 1100, Mierlo was a "heerlijkheid" where the lords of Mierlo grew cherries in the way the Romans did. Meanwhile, the Mierlose Zwarte(black) cherry has been officially named as its own cherry species. A real regional product with national fame. The cherry can be obtained from various local fruit & vegetable shops, but there are also two locations where you can see this fruit in real life, such as the Kersenboerderij and Hof van Huijbers.
-
Hof van Huijbers
Hof van Huijbers is a regional shop, lunchroom and horticultural company. AÂ unique place to go in the spring and summer period.

Kersenbloesemroute
The Cherry Blossom route, Mierlose Zwarte, is the most beautiful when the trees are in bloom. That is around the beginning of April. But it is also a wonderful route for cycling the rest of the year.
